#LoveWon

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

No one is perfect. We have all sinned and will sin over and over again. Every sin is equal in God’s eyes, giving no human the right to claim judgment over another. We can’t play the ‘blame game’ because we all will lose.  Messing up and making mistakes are what make us human, so we cannot achieve perfection on our own.

However, God loves us despite our sins and He calls us to love others in the same way. It is so hard to look past a person’s flaws, yet God does it all day every day because He loves us so much. He loves us enough to give us free will, so we can make our own decisions and not be walking around like Christian robots. He allows us to have thoughts, opinions, beliefs, and all the things that make us unique people. Most importantly, God loves us enough to send His only son, a perfect son, to die for our sins. He willingly watched His son die an excruciating death just so a bunch of imperfect, rebellious people can live with Him forever. God knew we cannot be perfect on our own, so He sent Jesus so that we could appear blameless in front of Him. That is a love like no other. God’s love is endless and unconditional. No person is too good or too bad for His love. Not only that, but He loves all people equally (Christians, Muslims, girls, homosexuals, boys, Jews, tall people, poor people, depressed people, etc). Every single person does not deserve this perfect love, but we all have received it because we serve a perfect God.

So I would argue that love already won, thousands of years ago, when God created us out of love and then again when Jesus Christ died on a cross to save us ALL because we all desperately need saving. So friends, remember that love won before, and God’s perfect love will always win in the future.
